Traffic has come to a standstill on a stretch of the M60 following a serious multiple vehicle collision. The collision happened on the clockwise stretch of the motorway between junction 13 for Worsley and junction 14 for the East Lancs Road.
National Highways warned that there are currently delays of up to 60 minutes on the approach. It said: “The M60 in Greater Manchester is closed clockwise between J12 (M62/M602) and J15 near (M61) following a serious multiple vehicle collision. All emergency services are working at the scene with Greater Manchester Police leading the response at this stage. National Highways Traffic Officers are assisting with strategic closures on the approach. Crews are planning to clear the traffic caught within the closure as soon as it is safe.”
