Lorraine Kelly’s absence from her show on Friday prompted guest Jason Manford to call for Christine Lampard’s name to be shown on the titles instead. The latter stepped in for the presenter to host Friday’s edition which prompted many viewers to question where Lorraine was.
While holding the fort, Christine caught up with Jason to discuss his latest tour and where it all began for him. At the end of the discussion, the stand-in host thanked him for his time and said chatting to him was “lovely as always”.
In response, he said: “So nice,” and went on to suggest that Lorraine’s name across the studio screen should be changed to hers. “It needs to say Christine on there,” he continued.
Caught off guard at the comment, the presenter hesitantly shut down the thought and insisted seeing Lorraine’s name was “nice”.
