Loose Women’s Linda Robson’s tearful moment sparks frenzy as fans discover son is famous

Linda Robson found herself trending on X (formerly Twitter) for an unlikely reason after she was filmed breaking down in tears in a sweet video posted on social media. Linda could be seen at the Emirates Stadium in North London watching Arsenal play Bournemouth in the club’s latest Premier League clash in a very tense title race.

The Loose Women star and Birds of a Feather actress was visibly emotional as Arsenal F.C.’s anthem, The Angel (North London Forever), rang out around the stadium, with fans singing along in full voice. A fan then explained her tears, sharing it was the first time Linda had heard the song, written and performed by her son Louis Dunford, at a match.

One social media user who shared the video wrote: “Louis Dunford’s mother, Linda Robson, reacting to hearing her son’s song ‘North London Forever’ for the first time at the Emirates.”

It wasn’t long before fans rushed to comment on the heartwarming footage of Linda, with many admitting that they had absolutely no idea about her being singer-songwriter, and famous Arsenal fan, Louis’ mum.

One Gunners fan tweeted: “Mind blown,” upon discovering the connection between Louis and Linda, while another added: “Had no idea Linda is Louis’ mum.”

“Linda Robson is Louis Dunford’s mum, WAIT WHAT?” A third person exclaimed. A fourth was equally shocked, writing: “LINDA ROBSON IS HIS MUM!? F*** OFF!?”

A fifth commented of the fan frenzy: “I’m glad I’m not the only one that was shooketh when I discovered linda robson was louis dunford’s mother yesterday….”

However, other social media users were more clued up on the connection between Louis and Linda, with one quipping: “The amount of people shocked Linda Robson is Louis’s mum,” along with a crying with laughter emoji mocking the huge reaction to the news.

Another questioned fellow Twitter users on their stunned responses to the video, writing: “Am I the only one who knew linda Robson was his mum ?”

Linda’s son Louis, who was born and raised in north London and is a lifelong Arsenal fan, wrote The Angel (North London Forever) as a tribute to Islington as well as to his family and friends from the local area.

Two months after the song was released, Arsenal fans shared it around social media and pushed for it to become the football club’s pre-match anthem, an idea which Gunners manager Mikel Arteta wholeheartedly approved of.

Linda confirmed that she and Louis’ father Mark Dunford had split in November last year.

The actress and window cleaning company owner Mark share two children, while Linda also has a daughter Lauren, 40, with her ex Tony Tyler.
