London Paddington: Train chaos as services cancelled after 'incident' on railway

Train services running into and out of London have been thrown into chaos this evening (January 20) after an incident on the railway line between Paddington Station and Reading.

All trains, including London’s Elizabeth line services, running on the route have either been cancelled or severely delayed. The nature of the incident is unknown, but passengers on board the train have reported it being ‘hit’.

Great Western Railway tweeted: “Due to emergency services dealing with an incident between Reading and London Paddington, all lines are blocked. Train services running to and from these stations will be cancelled, delayed by up to 90 minutes or terminated at and started back from Reading.”
