London Euston chaos LIVE: 'Major disruption' to impact rush-hour as passengers stranded

Passengers travelling from London Euston are facing up to two hour delays after a signalling failure caused chaos. The busy station was already dealing with a busier than usual timetable after the West Coast Main Line reopened after being closed for four days over Easter.

Service resumed to normal today but National Rail have warned of “major disruption” due to a signalling problem in the Euston area until the end of today.

It’s expected that some passengers will be delayed by up to two hours, while others will see their journeys cancelled altogether.

It comes just three days before more chaos is set to ensue with an Aslef strike resulting in no Avanti services on Friday, with an amended timetable running either side on Thursday and Saturday. Other strikes will affect the network over the weekend.
