Locals in beautiful UK seaside town wage war on Gordon Ramsay in Ferrari parking row

Gordon Ramsay has left residents in a beautiful seaside town fuming after allegedly parking his £300,000 Ferrari on double yellows.

The celebrity chef is believed to have been in Padstow, Cornwall, visiting his protegee Paul Ainsworth, who runs a Michelin-star restaurant in the town. And rather than going to a car park, he reportedly parked on double yellow lines beneath a “no parking” sign.

He was snapped by social media user Guy Wilson who shared it in the Facebook group Private Number Plate Spotters. He wrote alongside it: “Spotted Gordon Ramsay in his Ferrari Purosangue a few days ago.”

And some of the 200,000 followers of the public group were quick to comment underneath with one saying: “Double yellow lines must not count when the car is so expensive.”

Another wrote: “£400k on a car alright for some.” Express.co.uk has contacted representatives of Gordon Ramsay for comment.

Ramsay has previously left the Cornish angry after he bought a £4.4million second home in the county which he and his family moved to during the pandemic.

Locals weren’t happy and a Facebook group called “You Shouldn’t Be Here” was created to publicly shame celebrities and wealthy families who had relocated from busy cities to their second homes to try and escape Covid.

And he also caused upset with his parking back in 2020, when he parked his Land Rover in front of a shop. The shop owner was furious and confronted Gordon over the way his car was parked, as well as the sheer size of it.

It’s no wonder locals are frequently angry at the celebrity chef considering he said in 2022 that while he loves Cornwall, he “can’t stand the Cornish”.
