A 14-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy were hospitalised after being stabbed in Kirkby, Merseyside last night. Armed police responded to the incident on Whitefield Drive around 8:25 PM following reports of the attack. Both teenagers are currently undergoing medical assessments, as reported by the Liverpool Echo.
Authorities have closed off the area near the junction with Harriers Crescent and are urging the public to avoid the scene while investigations continue. Police, including forensic teams and a helicopter unit, were present at a local shop where part of the investigation is focused.
