A major Liverpool road is closed and Costco has been evacuated after an incident.
In a statement by Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, Cadent and Merseyside Police, it said officers were at the scene on Waterloo Road, Vauxhall, amid reports of a gas leak.
The traffic monitoring site Inrix added: “A5036 Waterloo Road in both directions closed, slow traffic due to gas leak between Oil Street and Paisley Street.”
According to images taken around the scene, it appears a cordon is in place near the Titanic Hotel.
So far Costo and Home Bargains have been evacuated due to the leak.
