Liverpool bus parade confirmed as date, time and route details released by Reds | Football | Sport

For the first time since the 1990s, Liverpool fans will welcome the English champions to the streets of Merseyside after Arne Slot’s side were confirmed as league winners with a win over Tottenham Hotspur. It ends a decade-long wait for the Liverpool faithful, whose celebrations for their last league title were dampened by the Covid-19 pandemic.

There will be no such obstacles this time around, as thousands of buoyant Reds are expected to line the streets for this year’s title parade. Ahead of the Merseyside celebration, Express Sport have put together all of the details you need to know.

When is Liverpool’s title parade?

Liverpool’s players and staff will parade the Premier League trophy around the city’s streets on Monday, 26 May. It comes the day after their final league match of the season at home to Crystal Palace and is a bank holiday in the United Kingdom.

Where can I watch Liverpool’s bus parade?

Express Sport will provide live coverage of the parade throughout the day. The club’s social media channels will also have coverage of the celebrations, with Sky Sports also covering the event on their channels.

When was Liverpool’s last trophy parade?

Liverpool last paraded silverware around the city in 2019 after winning their sixth Champions League. There had been plans to hold a parade last season but it was cancelled after it became clear they weren’t going to win anything other than the League Cup.

When will Liverpool’s title parade start?

Liverpool’s victory parade will bein at 2.30pm on Monday, May 26. It is expected to last between three and five hours.

What route with Liverpool’s title parade take?

The route will follow the same path as in 2019 and 2022. It will start on Allerton Maze in the south of the city. It will then travel northbound on Queens Drive towards the Fiveways roundabout and on to the Rocket flyover.

The bus will journey along:

  • Queens Drive
  • Mill Bank
  • West Derby Road
  • Islington
  • Leeds Street
  • The Strand
  • Route finishes at Blundell Street

Will Jurgen Klopp be attending Liverpool’s title parade?

There’s every chance Liverpool fans might also catch a glimpse of their former gaffer, with Jurgen Klopp having teased he’ll be in attendance for the parade. Whether he’s on the bus though is a different story.

Speaking earlier this year, the ex-Reds manager said: “Yes, the plan is [to be there for the celebrations] but not on the bus. I will be there where the people are. That’s the idea, but we will see. I will be there for the last game.

“I didn’t want to go earlier to be honest because I didn’t want to jinx it! They win all the time and I’m the first time in the stadium and they lose! So, I’ll go there when it’s decided.”
