The latest food recall from Lidl regards Deluxe Irish Carved Peppered Turkey Breast. Customers are strongly advised to not consume the turkey as it is “unsafe to eat”.
There has been a labelling error that shows an incorrect use-by date of June 25 when, in reality, the correct use-by date is January 25. Lidl assured: “No other use-by dates or Deluxe products are affected.”
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) made clear this safety notice is restricted to Lidl Northern Ireland only.
“Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling this product,” the FSA stated.
“These notices explain to customers why the product is being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product.” Customers can return the turkey to the store for a full refund, but Lidl does apologise for any inconvenience caused.

There are, however, other products that Lidl has had to recall due to safety concerns. A common household cleaner, Beldray Revo Cordless Vacuum is recalled due to a manufacturing defect.
There are a small number of DC Adaptors supplied with Beldray Reco vacuums that are faulty. Lidl explained that the defect “may cause the back of the DC adaptor to come off”.

“If you have bought the above product, stop using it immediately,” Lidl urged. “Customers should contact the supplier for a replacement DC adaptor at productsupport@upplc.com, www.beldray.com or 01619342212.”
Lidl issued another statement recently about Playtive Wooden Learning Puzzle/Blocks. The toy is a “potential choking hazard for babies and small children” as the “yellow plastic cap may come loose”.
