Laurence Fox issues message as he ponders another run at becoming London Mayor

“I’m not going to stand by and watch the city I live in and love be destroyed before our eyes. It is always my wish to collaborate with the other small parties, but they have refused. Watch this space.”

On December 21 he called Mr Khan “scum”.

He said: “Found out today that the @metpoliceuk are keeping my kids iPads for Christmas, whilst they continue to “investigate” me.

“In a city where knife murder is rampant, taking iPads off two boys who have done nothing wrong is really going to help.

“The @MayorofLondon @SadiqKhan is scum.”

Mr Fox – who is a crusader against woke issues and cancel culture – first put his hat into the ring in the hope of becoming Mayor of London in 2021 but lost his deposit as failed to secure enough votes and finished in sixth place.

The Lewis actor got involved in politics in 2020 when he appeared on BBC’s Question Time and made controversial comments – accusing an audience member of racism for calling him a “white privileged male”.

He launched his own political party Reclaim the same year and during the Covid pandemic he expressed scepticism over the vaccine and lockdowns.

In October he was sacked as a presenter on GB News after he questioned what “self-respecting man” would ever “climb into bed” with journalist Ava Evans on Dan Wootton Tonight.

His tweet pondering another run at London mayor has been liked 11,000 times and has garnered almost 2,000 comments.

One said: “Do it Lozza, you’d be amazing. Just what London needs.”

Another more sceptical commenter said: “Mate…Save yourself some time and don’t bother.”
