King Charles's desperate plea to Prince Harry and Prince William over 'feud'

King Charles III reportedly previously asked Prince Harry and Prince William to not “make my final years a misery” at Prince Philip’s funeral in April 2021.

The monarch’s two sons have been at loggerheads for some time – particularly since Harry stepped down from royal duties in 2020. Harry has launched various attacks directed at his family – including his brother – in recent years.

Writing in his bombshell memoir Spare – which was released last January – Harry shared that his father had pleaded with him and William not make his final years “a misery”.

The conversation reportedly took place at his late grandfather’s funeral in 2021, when the now-King Charles “stood between” his two sons. Quoting Charles, Harry wrote: “Please boys, don’t make my final years a misery.”

Ahead of the release of Spare, Harry suggested that he wanted to end the feud in an interview with ITV.

Speaking to interviewer Tom Bradby, Harry previously said that he wanted “a family, not an institution”.

In his book, Harry also shared intimate details of a physical confrontation that he claims to have had with William back in 2019.

The alleged confrontation is said to have taken place at Harry’s London home when William ripped his necklace off and “knocked” him to the ground.

During the argument, William reportedly made comments about Harry’s wife Meghan Markle – branding her “difficult” and “rude”.

Despite the feud, Prince Harry arrived in the UK earlier today to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis. The 39-year-old travelled to Clarence House where he met with the King for around 45 minutes.

Meghan Markle opted to remain in the US with the couple’s two children, Prince Archie, four, and two-year-old Princess Lilibet.
