King Charles sparks 'worry' with William as he's told to 'balance his recovery' and duty

King Charles has sparked “worry” from his eldest son, Prince William, over his hectic working schedule.

According to The Times, William is understood to “fret about his ‘workaholic’ father’s pace” – eespecially as the 75-year-old is currently undergoing cancer treatment.

The King made a return to public-facing duties earlier this week, his first public engagement since before his diagnosis at the start of February.

King Charles is said to have been continuing work behind-the-scenes, but had only just been given the all-clear to return to duties publicly.

A source close to William said: “[William] wants to make sure his father is balancing his recovery.

“He knows his dad loves work, but he does worry about him.”

Queen Camilla – who stepped out alongside her husband on Tuesday – has also recently expressed her wishes for the monarch to “hold back” on duties.

At a Palace reception earlier this week, the 76-year-old said that the King was “really thrilled” to be returning to public duties, but also admitted that she was trying to “hold him back”.

On April 30, the King visited the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, where they met patients and staff.

The King and Queen will also take on the majority of the late Queen Elizabeth II’s patronages.

It has been revealed that a major review of more than 1,000 patronages and charity presidencies has finally been conducted.

The outcome of the review, announced to coincide with the one year anniversary of the Coronation on Monday, will be shared with relevant organisations in the coming week.
