King Charles makes defiant royal tour plan as he's 'raring to go' amid cancer treatment

King Charles is pressing ahead with his royal duties with a plan to embark on a hefty fortnight tour in Australia later this year, it has been claimed. The monarch has reportedly seen a “successful” start to his cancer treatment.

The royal visit alongside Queen Camilla will take place in October, it’s understood, and the trip will include New Zealand and Samoa to lead the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, however a trip to Fiji is to be ruled out. A source told the Sun: “The King is raring to go and keen to get on with the job”.

Buckingham Palace sources said Charles is feeling “positive” after he was able to go on a walkabout on Easter Sunday with medics being “optimistic” about His Majesty’s prognosis.

The Palace said “nothing is ruled in or out” and they remain “cautious”.

But insiders claimed the monarch is very “keen” to “hit the ground running”, however, the trip will include “significant down-time” to ensure he is in the best form to perform his duties.
