King Charles 'exasperated' by Prince Harry's betrayals but 'too busy to dwell'

King Charles feels “exasperated” by Prince Harry’s betrayals, however, he is “too busy” with Royal duties to think about it, a royal expert has claimed.

The revelations have been laid bare in royal expert Robert Hardman’s new biography: Charles III: New King, New Court. The Inside Story. Mr Hardman’s book – serialised in the Daily Mail – claimed neither King Charles or Prince William have read Spare but they’ve been briefed on key points.

The book claimed while the King feels “exasperated” by Prince Harry, he is “too preoccupied” with Royal duties to dwell on it, according to a friend.

Of Prince Harry’s relationship with his father, Mr Hardman claims a friend said: “Of course the King is extremely sad about Harry and Meghan but there is a sense of exasperation, that he has done what he can and now he is King, there are many more things to think about.”

In the previous month, reports indicated that the relationship between King Charles and Prince Harry had deteriorated irreparably following the fallout from the alleged royal race controversy.

A glimmer of hope for reconciliation was offered when the Duke of Sussex reportedly phoned his father and wished him happy birthday when he turned 75 in November. There are also reports he shared a video of the King’s grandchildren, Archie and Lilibet.

But despite these little hints, the rift does not seem to be residing anytime soon. According to Mr Hardman, the new monarch’s initial move was to discuss with his eldest son shortly after the passing of Queen Elizabeth.

Mr Hardman noted that in prior years, Prince Harry would have been part of the conversation given the heightened tensions, but it was preferable for him to abstain from it this time.

Meanwhile, Prince William is understood to be “mortified” by Prince Harry’s “casual betrayal” of shared secrets in his explosive memoir, released a year ago this month.

The Duke of Sussex claimed Prince William “attacked” him and ripped his necklace after calling Meghan “difficult”.

In Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary series Harry had also claimed Royal men look to marry someone who “would fit the mould”. The book also alleged King Charles did not dine with Harry on the night Queen Elizabeth died.

It claimed The King needed to have “discreet discussions” with William before he could be expected to “console the whole country”.
