King Charles 'desperate' for Prince Harry to come to the UK for very important reason

The Royal Family has long spent part of the holidays at the Scottish residence, and the King has followed in his late mother’s footsteps by spending several weeks in Scotland.

Speaking to Page Six, the insider said: “I can see Charles desperately wanting to see the children, and extending this olive branch to Meghan and Harry.”

The anonymous source added: “He may decide that life is just too short.”

Charles only met with grandson Archie a handful of times since he was born, and he is believed to have met Lilibet only once, shortly before her first birthday in 2022.

The insider argued the Duke and Duchess of Sussex should accept the King’s invitation if one were to be offered as Balmoral could prove to be the perfect location for a reconciliation.

They added: “Balmoral is truly the perfect, restful place for a reunion. If he does issue an invite, then Harry and Meghan should surely agree to the visit.”

DON’T MISS:

The King has often been praised for his close relationship with his three grandchildren by Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales.

But the ongoing rift between the Sussexes and Royal Family means he has since less of his youngest grandchildren.

One insider last year told the Daily Mail that Charles was “very sad” he couldn’t regularly see Archie and Lilibet.

They said: “There’s a lot of hurt on both sides, but time is a healer. For now, it is baby steps forward.”

Author Omid Scobie, however, claimed in his book multiple sources had informed him the Duchess of Sussex provided regular message updates to the King on how the children are.

The author said he was “surprised to learn that even Meghan has some sort of correspondence with Charles, sending over photos of the children, although they’re not directly to him.”
