King Charles has changed up his routine to carve out more time to spend with Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales’s brood, a royal author has claimed.
His Majesty has repeatedly been praised for his close relationship with his UK-based grandchildren – with his exchanges with Prince Louis during the Jubilee in 2022 sparking a royal frenzy.
Author Robert Hardman said that despite the demands of his duty Charles has remained a “doting grandfather” and has worked around his schedule to ensure he spends time with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Louis.
He said the King has surprised staffers with his desire to spend “a lot more time at Windsor”, where the Prince and Princess of Wales – more “than anyone expected.”
Hardman told PEOPLE: “Normally, he’s often there on a Thursday and a Friday. Obviously, the Waleses are within walking distance of the castle.
