Keir Starmer has been left red-faced as Donald Trump’s team appeared to hang a Union Jack flag upside down.
Multiple people seemed to have spotted the mistake with many pointing it out on social media.
One person wrote: ” It seems that the Union flag is flying upside down outside Blair House – the presidential guesthouse opposite the White House where PM Starmer is staying for his visit.”
The thinner red lines on the Union Jack appear to be on the wrong side.
There is already plenty of pressure on Sir Keir who is expected to discuss many issues with Donald Trump, including the war in Ukraine.
