Jordon Hudson awards title to Bill Belichick after latest cheerleading championship

Bill Belichick is officially a WAG.

The UNC football coach had the title β€” shorthand for wives and girlfriends β€” bestowed upon him by Jordon Hudson after he cheered on her Cheer Extreme Code Black team at the Cheerleading Worlds in Florida.

β€œRoses [up] for Bill the WAG 💍🌹🌹🌹👌🏻,” Hudson captioned a picture of the couple decked out in Code Black gear.

Hudson, 25, added to their household’s trophy case with her team’s title at in the International Open Coed Non-Tumbling division over the weekend.

She’s long been a sideline staple β€” for better or worse β€” at Belichick’s endeavors, with the 74-year-old and six-time Super Bowl champion head coach returning the favor at Hudson’s cheerleading competitions.

The couple has seemingly remained out of the public eye after an eventful first season in Chapel Hill, where Belichick’s introduction to college football resulted in a disappointing 4-8 debut.

He and Hudson found themselves in the headlines often, with a disastrous β€œCBS Sunday Morning” interview thrusting their relationship into the spotlight and a disputed report of Hudson’s ban from UNC facilities following their arrival.

β€œLook, let’s face it,” UNC general manager Michael Lombardi told β€œThe Pat McAfee Show” in March. β€œIf you’re not worth a darn, they’re not going to attack you. Some programs are not worth attacking. They’re going to attack us. We expect it. It’s all good. We’ve been in the arena before. We don’t listen to the noise. We focus on what we have to focus on and we move forward.”

All the hoopla hasn’t broken Belichick and Hudson, who seem closer than ever with Year 2 of their UNC circus on tap.
