John Venables will not walk free as James Bulger's killer has parole bid denied

Twisted killer John Venables has had his parole bid denied and will spend at least another two years behind bars. Evil Venables  brutally tortured and killed little James Bulger, aged just two, in 1993.

The decision was reached after the board recognising the now 41-year-old is still a danger to society, after he was returned to prison twice since being released for James’ murder.

Venables could also spend even longer in jail if new plans to keep dangerous, reoffending criminals indefinitely are passed.

Today Kym Morris, a spokeswoman for James’ mum Denise Fergus, exclusively told the Mirror: “This is the day Denise has waited for years. The prospect of him coming out was terrifying as we knew he’d harm again. This is a day we celebrate and we thank the parole board for making the correct decision.”
