Overjoyed Jesy Nelson has given birth to her twins following an induced labour at a London hospital. Jesy and her partner, Zion Foster, had spent the past ten weeks at the hospital to ensure the health and safety of their babies. Now, they are thrilled to announce the arrival of their little ones.
According to sources, doctors had planned to induce Jesy’s labour when the twins reached a certain level of development, around the 32-week mark. On Instagram, the beaming former Little Mix star shared photos of her newborns, cradling one of the twins while wearing an orange hat. Another photo showed Zion, clad in a hospital gown, gazing lovingly at their other baby.
Revealing that they had welcomed twin girls, Jesy captioned the post: “So… Our beautiful baby girls decided to come at 31weeks plus 5 days. It all happened so quickly, but we are so blessed that they are here with us, healthy and fighting strong! We’ve never felt more in love. Everybody meet Ocean Jade Nelson-Foster and Story Monroe Nelson-Foster. Born on 15.05.2025.”, reports the Mirror.
The couple’s friends rushed to offer their congratulations in the comments. Safiyya Vorajee wrote: “Oh how my heart just filled up with love for you all, congratulations welcome to the world babies you are so special, beautiful names, now it’s time to soak up all the love and start your new chapter with love health and happiness so happy for you all.”
Luke Hamnett added: “Congratulations my lovely.” A fan enthused: “They’re absolutely precious, so are their names. Congratulations and welcome to the World, sweet girls.” Jesy has given followers a candid insight into her challenging and emotive pregnancy journey.
Jesy, ex-member of Little Mix, underwent urgent surgery in April when her twins suffered from twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome, a serious condition with life-threatening implications for both babies. Post-surgery, Jesy expressed deep gratitude, saying: “We feel so grateful and blessed that these little babies are still going strong.” Fortunately, the twins continued to thrive for the duration of Jesy’s pregnancy.
In May, Jesy shared monochrome images of her enlarged bump alongside fresh ultrasound scans, captioning them: “Muma Nelson and Papa Foster” with an added heart emoji, and tenderly referred to Zion as “my husband” in subsequent pictures. Hailing from Romford, East London, Jesy found stardom via ITV’s The X Factor in 2011, remaining a part of Little Mix until 2020.
She’s been romantically linked with Zion, hailing from South London, as of November 2022, and he notably participated in the London Marathon in May to support Twins Trust, a charity aiding twin families. During the solitary interview amid her pregnancy, Zion expressed optimism about the twins’ health: “They’re giving us so much hope they’re going to come out healthy.”
He added, acknowledging their tumultuous journey, “Jesy and the twins have come through so much. There were so many times in this pregnancy we didn’t think we’d get to where we are now. Their strength has been unmatched. We literally feel like we know them already just because of how much they’ve overcome.
“Their characters are so strong. They’re so brave.” Zion also revealed that their ordeal in the hospital, where they stayed to monitor the twins’ health, has brought the couple closer. The same four walls are driving us a bit crazy,” he acknowledged.
“We’ve literally grown to understand each other on a deeper level. And I think we really understand how much we actually care about each other. I think it’s at these times when you really, really know what love you have and what your relationship means. And I think for me and Jess, this has just taken it to a whole other level of us knowing we are literally made for each other.”
Jesy follows suit as other Little Mix members who have embraced motherhood. In 2021, Perrie Edwards gave birth to a son, Axel, with her partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock had twins with her husband Andre Gray, all within days of one another. The couple has been showered with thousands of messages of support from fans during Jesy’s pregnancy battle with the twins.
Zion disclosed that Jesy often read these messages which provided comfort throughout her pregnancy. Speaking recently, he told the Mirror: “It’s really been incredible, the level of support. It’s been absolutely incredible. And I think just massive, massive, massive credit to Jesy, because obviously when these kinds of things happen, it’s very difficult to actually share that. But Jess had the courage to say: ‘You know what? I want to put this story out there. I want to let people in. I want people to know it’s not just about sharing the good moments. I want people to know the reality.'”
“And just to see the response, people’s support, the amount of messages that just flooded in daily. Even after the operation, Jess was recovering and we didn’t say anything for a while, people were asking: ‘Oh, is everything OK?'”
“I think it’s just been just so touching, and I don’t know if the word is ‘motivational’, but it just really keeps us going. It helps our frame of mind and helps us just keep going day by day, just feeling supported and feeling love.”
