Jeffrey Epstein victim makes bombshell 'lying' claim as Prince Andrew transcript released

Ghislaine Maxwell has denied she introduced Prince Andrew to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, newly released court documents show – with one of Epstein’s victims claiming one of them is lying.

The Duke of York claimed the jailed British socialite had introduced him to Epstein during a disastrous UK television interview.

During the 2019 interview, the Duke of York said he had known Maxwell since she was at university in the UK and had been introduced to through her to Epstein in 1999.

However, documents released on Friday include a video deposition in which Maxwell claims this is not true – and alleges it is a lie by Epstein victim Virginia Giuffre.

Andrew has strenously denied all allegations against him.

In the deposition, which was part of a previously settled 2015 civil defamation suit by Giuffre against Maxwell, the socialite – who has been sentenced to 20 years in prison – claimed she did not know how or when Epstein and the Prince had met.

Speaking to the Mirror, a victim of Epstein said either Maxwell or Andrew was lying, and urged the royal to “come clean” about what had taken place.

They added: “The two of them have been like peas in a pod, backing each other every step of the way. But clear[ly] it’s just been a facade.”

Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison in 2022 for sex trafficking of a minor, transporting of a minor with the intent to engage in illegal sexual activity and three counts of conspiracy.

She is set to appeal later this year.

Epstein was found dead in his cell at a New York jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, with the death being ruled as a suicide.
