ITV The Chase viewers 'crying' as contestant makes huge Al Capone blunder

As another episode of The Chase aired on Wednesday, ITV viewers were left up in arms after a contestant made a seriously awkward blunder after she got a question wrong.

It was Becky from Rossendale’s turn to earn some money during her cash builder, but the player had a face palm moment after thinking American gangster Al Capone was a civil rights leader.

Fans of the show couldn’t believe the words had come out of her mouth as they flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their opinions.

One social media user expressed: “Crying at this girl thinking Al Capone was a civil rights leader #TheChase,” alongside a crying with tears emoji.

Another confused viewer asked: “Al Capone? Civil rights leader? Why would you go there? #TheChase.”
