ITV Loose Women host issues cheeky royal dig at Denise Welch as viewers 'switch off'

Christine Lampard reacted to co-star Denise Welch’s heated debate on Loose Women this week.

Prince Harry touched down in London on (May 7) but King Charles was said to be “too busy” to make time to vist with his son following his return to the UK.

During Wednesday’s episode presenter Christine was joined by Linda Robson, Kelle Bryan and Denise – who returned to the panel following a heated debate with royal journalist Dickie Arbiter on Monday.

The Loose Women host quipped: “Don’t worry this will calm Denise down… Prince Harry is back in the UK.”

Christine’s comment was met with applause as her fellow panellist laughed off the cheeky remark.

“Before you wind yourself up… apparently, he won’t be catching up with the King, Denise,” she continued.

The panel went on to discuss whether or not it was right to spend time with family even if you don’t want to, but neither of the Loose Women delved deeper into claims Charles “snubbed” Harry on his UK visit.

Viewers took to social media and issued the same complaint as some admitted they needed to give the royal coverage “a rest”.

@cj_787 tweeted: “Mind your own business about Harry & King not catching up with each other, there’s obviously private reasons, give it a fu**ing rest! “

@Poppyblew commented: “Stopped watching #loosewomen.

@Karl wrote: “Stfu about Harry & Meghan ffs nobody cares! #Loosewomen.(sic)”

@mrdanleslie added: “Why are the likes of #GMB #ThisMorning #LooseWomen absolutely OBSESSED with #HarryandMeghan let it go! I reckon theres fault on both sides,stop pretending #KingCharles , #PrinceWilliam etc are perfect cos they’re NOT!.”(sic)

@felicity said: “Not watching!”

Others praised Denise as @_Sullivan11 commented: “Well said Denise #Loosewomen.”

It comes after Denise got into a heated debate with Dickie on Loose Women earlier this week when she defended Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step away from royal duties.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm
