IShowSpeed has made the 2026 World Cup part of his personal content takeover, but his latest viral moment came after the final whistle.
Following Brazil’s dramatic win over Japan at Houston Stadium, the streamer joined Japanese fans in one of soccer’s most respected traditions: cleaning the stands after a match.
Japan’s supporters have become famous for taking blue bags, the same ones they often use to cheer during games, and filling them with trash before leaving the stadium. The tradition first gained international attention during Japan’s first World Cup appearance in France in 1998 and has continued at major tournaments ever since.
This time, Speed joined in.
The moment came after a brutal finish for Japan. Kaishu Sano opened the scoring in the 29th minute, giving Japan hope of finally breaking through in a World Cup knockout match. Brazil answered in the second half when Casemiro scored with a header in the 56th minute, then delivered the winner in the fifth minute of stoppage time.
Speed had already been part of the emotional scene. In a FOX Sports clip, he was visibly overwhelmed after Brazil’s late goal, reacting in real time as the match swung toward the five-time world champions.
That kind of passion is nothing new. Speed has built much of his global following around soccer, from his well-known Cristiano Ronaldo fandom to his World Cup-themed music and international soccer content.
