The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have reportedly made a trip to Costa Rica ahead of Christmas, according to locals. The couple are said to have arrived on December 14 for a week of sun and sea before leaving yesterday, December 21.
It is believed that the couple also took their children Archie and Lilibet with them to the Central American island. They were reportedly seen walking through the trees in the rainforests and riding in a golf buggy.
Meghan was wearing a large straw hat, black dress and white trainers as she carried two-year-old Lilibet. The couple were spotted sitting inside a green golf buggy while Archie perched on his father’s lap.
The Tico Times writes: “Apparently the couple spent much of their time relaxing at scenic Playa Carrillo and the nearby beaches of Guabacaste province, internationally renowned for their pristine sands and world-class resorts.”
Harry and Meghan join a long list of celebrities to vacation in the hotspot enjoyed by dignitaries and A-listers alike. Kevin Hart and Shakira have both recently visited.
The island has been praised for giving guests huge levels of privacy. Harry and Meghan’s holiday is said to have taken place amid reports that the pair will not be going to Sandringham for Christmas. Instead, they are expected to stay in the US.
Senior members of the Royal Family will instead be joined by Queen Camilla’s children, grandchildren and sister.
