Eero Pro 6E Mesh Wi-Fi Router
As is true for many of us, I spend a lot of time on the Internet. Streaming shows on my TCL 5-Series, playing Valheim with my friends on my Xbox Series X and playing my son’s bedtime music playlist on the Echo in his room all require a solid (and fast) wireless connection. Hisense U8H LED TV
When you review tech products for a living, friends invariably come to you for advice. So, when my neighbor’s TV died on Sunday, I told him to bide his time until Prime Day began. Once it did, I made sure to recommend the Hisense U8H, our favorite midrange TV from last year. It looks fantastic out of the box and has excellent color accuracy and contrast, thanks to its mini LED backlight. It’s also plenty bright, so it will hold up well against the afternoon sunlight in his living room. Factor in Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support alongside solid gaming features and the U8H is a great deal at $839.
Gulikit Switch Joystick Replacement Kit
The Nintendo Switch is a mainstay in my home. I love it, my wife loves it and my kid loves it. But the thumbsticks in the Joy-Con controllers have a tendency to fail and result in drift. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to fix. It’s also not too expensive, especially when you get the Gulikit Switch Joystick Replacement kit. It comes with everything you need, including the tri-wing screwdriver required to get the Joy-Con open, extra screws, tweezers to help remove the ribbon connectors in the controller and of course the thumbstick replacements.
