'I'm a PR expert – these are the three things Meghan needs to do to mend royal rift'

Meghan Markle could attempt to mend the royal rift by doing these three things, according to a PR expert.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been at loggerheads with the Royal Family for some time, with the feud fuelled further when Harry and Meghan decided to step down as senior working royals in 2020.

As Prince Harry prepares to make a return to the UK, questions have arose as to whether Meghan could join her husband on the trip.

With the royal feud in full swing, Edward Coram-James from goup.co.uk has suggested that Meghan could be the one to try and attempt to heal the rift.

He told Express.co.uk: “Afterall, whether she likes it or not, the UK is the homeland of her husband, Kate is her sister-in-law and Charles is her father-in-law.”

The expert added: “And, with the recent health worries of the King and the Princess of Wales, and the emotional stress that this has caused for Brits at large, now would be the time to step up, put the past behind her and take a leaf out of the late Queen’s book: duty first.”

He suggested that the Duchess could “step up” and make an attempt to mend tensions and “put the past behind her” – especially as the couple stepped down from duty four years ago.

Mr Coram-James also suggested that Meghan could “take a lead out of the late Queen’s book” and put “duty first”.

Speaking of the Duchess’s potential appearance in London next month, the expert said that Meghan needs “to start doing the unexpected” – with many believing that she won’t join Harry in May.

He said: “To break that loop, the Duchess needs to start doing the unexpected. And, that starts with attending the Invictus ceremony in May.

“This sentiment will only have grown in recent months.

“With Harry’s sister-in-law and father unwell, the Public expects other members of the Royal Family to put aside unimportant disagreements and step up to support [Prince] William, [Princess] Kate, [Queen] Camilla and [King] Charles.”

Meghan has not been on UK soil since September 2022, with her last visit including the late Queen’s funeral.

Meghan and Harry could also be set to bring their two children with them during the visit.

Like Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet haven’t returned to the UK since 2022.

Archie, who will turn five next month, and Princess Lilibet, two, are thought to have come to UK to celebrate the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June 2022.
