An entire church is up for sale – and it’s only £5k more than a parking space in London. This run-down building in Pembrokeshire needs some care, but it could be a special home for the right person.
The three-bedroom, two-bathroom property has already had over 20 viewings, according to estate agent John Francis. And at £85k, it’s just a bit more than an underground parking spot in posh Mayfair in London, which can cost £80k.
The church’s online listing says: “This unique converted church in need of refurbishment set in a private and rural location in Hayscastle.”
It also adds: “This property offers ample opportunity with original features and plenty of character, with the right buyer and a good eye for detail this church would make a fantastic investment.”
Some properties nearby have been turned into Airbnbs – which is something the new owner could look into replicating.
The church’s living room still has pointed arches and Gothic windows, and there’s a spiral staircase.
The nearest big town is Haverfordwest, which is a 20-minute drive away. The church will be sold at auction, but the date hasn’t been decided yet.
