A high-speed chase involving a domestic violence suspect came to an end when a deputy shot the man dead.
The sheriff’s office said it began when the domestic violence suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.

Deputies chased him, ending with an officer-involved shooting near the weigh station on Interstate 80 between Greenback Lane and Antelope Road in Citrus Heights, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Eastbound I-80 is closed at Greenback Lane with no estimated reopening time. Westbound lanes were closed but have reopened.
No deputies were injured in the pursuit.
