Princess Kate surprised royal fans on Thursday when she was  seen putting her long locks into a perfect bun swiftly and without any aid. The Princess of Wales, 43, was listening to instructions at the family-run textiles business Marina Mill in Cuxton, Kent, on Thursday when she was seen twisting her hair into a neat bun.

The princess did this without any clips, pins or even a hairband. This sparked a major reaction online, with many envious of how the royal did this so successfully. While Princess Kate has not shared her hair hack secret, another person on social media has.

In a video, taken from the TikTok account @linekjacobsen, being shared on X, a woman successfully recreates Kate’s hair hack in four simple steps.

First, the woman holds her long hair in a low ponytail position. She then puts one hand under the hair and twists her hair underneath her hand, which creates a loop.

She then twists her hand with the new loop of hair around it to the right. The fourth step then sees her put the end of the ponytail through the loop and pull it down before tucking it in the now formed bun.

Although it looks simple, the impressive hack can be difficult to do, especially with thick hair that is not quite long enough.

The video on X has been praised by many royal fans who have wanted to replicate the hair hack for themselves.

One person commented: “This went into my Helpful Tips Bookmark.”

Another said: “All you need is Catherine’s wonderful hair!”

Someone else said: “Thank you! I will be studying this and hopefully I can do it.”

A fourth said: “Needed this. Long hair here.”
