A horrorific fire appears to have erupted near the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant in Ukraine. Chilling pictures show large plumes of smoke over the power plant, which is the largest in Europe and one of the 10 largest in the world.

Reports on the social media platform Telegram said the area affected by the fire is not the plant itself but a nearby cargo port. However, fears of an incident at the plant have spiked in light of the Russian occupation of the area and reports of the coastline being mined, which could make it harder for emergency services to operate in the zone.
