A Hollywood actor has spoken out about what it was really like meeting Prince William as part of his comedy series. Eugene Levy, 78, visited London for one episode of his series “The Reluctant Traveler” to try and experience life like the British Royal Family, with his day even including a tour of Windsor Castle.

While here, he found out that Prince William, 43, would be the one doing the tour, with the pair seen joking together about “getting drunk” in the series trailer. Although this trailer was enough to get royal fans excited, Levy has since shared an update on what spending time with the future King was really like.

Speaking on TODAY with Jenna & Friends, an American morning show, the actor was asked whether he did in fact get drunk with the prince – a joke William made in front of the cameras.

He said: “You know what, he came out with that, it gives you some idea of what a great sense of humour he actually has. He was an amazing guy to hang with.”

He then said that meeting William was a “total surprise” and that he only found out on camera that it was the prince who would give him the tour of Windsor Castle.

Levy, known for his role on Schitt’s Creek, also revealed that he didn’t bow to the royal and didn’t even know what he should call him.

He said: “I didn’t really know what to call him. I knew it wasn’t going to be Billy, or Bill, or even Willie.”

In another interview with USA Today, Levy said: “I was taken aback by how at ease he (William) made me feel, he’s really a terrific, terrific gentleman, really smart, great sense of humour.

“He’s just a regular guy. He just struck me as being so down to earth, it just bodes well for the future of the monarchy, I think.”

Levy also revealed that William said he knew the actor from having watched the film American Pie.
