SelectFashion, the popular women’s fashion retailer known for its affordable, trendy clothing, is set to close 35 stores within days, following a series of closures since the start of 2025. The following documents provided to The Sun outlined plans for 35 Select stores to close throughout February and March. It was recently announced that up to 12 stores would close, but the latest information reveals the scale of the downsizing will be greater.

The closures are expected to take place by mid-March. The impacted stores span across the UK, including areas like Runcorn, Accrington, Preston, and Eastleigh and cities such as Bristol, Newport, and Southampton.

Following these closures, only 48 stores will remain open, marking a significant reduction in its high street presence.

Founded nearly four decades ago, Select once boasted 169 stores across the UK.

The British retailer, owned by Turkish entrepreneur Cafer Mahiroğlu, has been hit hard by difficult economic conditions, including rising employment costs and reduced foot traffic, leading to financial struggles and a recent Company Voluntary Arrangement to restructure its debts.
