The Royal Family were all smiles on Wednesday as they stepped out on Christmas Day to greet crowds of well-wishers after attending a special church service in Sandringham.

While most eyes were on Princess Kate, 42, following her difficult cancer battle this year, fans were also quick to pay attention to her husband Prince William, who was greeting members of the public with their three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, by his side.

Although his younger siblings caught the attention of the public with their sweet traits, with Louis spotted with arms full of presents and Charlotte winning over royal fans by posing for a selfie, not everyone was as quick to notice a small detail in Prince George’s outfit.

Standing proud and tall beside his father, George sported a smart suit for the festive occasion, matching his brother and Prince William.

His outfit also consisted of a tie, which many noticed was tartan to match his mum Princess Kate’s scarf.

Taking to X, royal fans praising the prince were quick to notice this hidden detail.

One wrote: “If you look at Prince George’s tie it looks like it matches his mum’s scarf.”

A second said: “Love Prince George’s tie, matches Princess Catherine’s scarf.”

As well as noticing how similar George’s tie was to his mum’s scarf, royal fans were also quick to comment on how much the second-in-line to the throne had grown over the last year.

One person wrote on X: “Wow, Prince George is nearly as tall as his father’s shoulders.”

A second commented: “Prince George, he’s almost reaching William’s shoulder…aged 11! Will be our tallest King ever!”

The family are not set to make any more appearances this year as they enjoy the rest of the festive period at their Amner Hall home in Norfolk.
