Heartwarming reason Princess Beatrice's stepson skipped Royal Family Sandringham Christmas

Princess Beatrice seven-year-old stepson skipped Sandringham this year for one very heartwarming reason.

Christopher Woolf, who is also known as Wolfie, spent this Christmas with his mother, American architect Dara Huang.

According to The Mail, Dara took her son to Florida to spend Christmas with her side of his family – with the trip also including time on a Disney cruise.

Last year, Wolfie spent the festive period with his dad Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, stepmum Princess Beatrice and his little half-sister, Sienna.

Although Beatrice and Edoardo embarked on the annual Sandringham walk, both Wolfie and Sienna were missing.

The seven-year-old did, however, join Edoardo and Beatrice at Princess Kate’s ‘Together At Christmas’ carol concert earlier this month.

Alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, Wolfie joined the royals to welcome in the festive season at Westminster Abbey.

Wolfie had been largely kept out of the royal spotlight until last year.

Last Christmas, Wolfie made his debut on the annual Sandringham walk alongside Beatrice and Edoardo.

Wolfie is very loved within the royal circle, with Beatrice calling him her “bonus child” and Sarah Ferguson referring to him as her grandson.

Edoardo was engaged to Wolfie’s mother for three-and-half-years before they broke up on 2018.

He proposed to Beatrice the following year, in 2019, and the pair tied the knot in July 2020.

The couple then went on to welcome their first child together, a daughter named Sienna, in September 2021.

Beatrice’s mother Sarah has previously spoken out about Wolfie.

She previously made it clear that although Princess Eugenie’s son August – who was born in February 2021 – was her first biological grandchild, she still sees Wolfie as family.

At the time of August’s birth, a spokesperson for Sarah said: “Wolfie is already a very much-loved member of the family and the Duchess is very keen to stress that she sees Wolfie as their grandchild too.”
