Amazon customers are praising a “brilliant” vacuum cleaner by Gtech, with shoppers claiming it is “better than Dyson”.
Originally £229.99, the Gtech AirRAM MK2 cordless vacuum cleaner is now reduced to £195.13, and shoppers have been left impressed by its effectiveness at sucking up pet hair, dust, and dirt.
One shopper wrote, “When we first got the Gtech, it felt a bit plasticky, a bit too light, but the anti-hair wrap brush works much like a carpet sweeper. The suction and pick-up are better than the Dyson V10. Rarely do I have to go over an area more than once, not something I would say about the Dyson.”
The AirRAM MK2 has Gtech’s AirLOC technology. In practice, that’s a rubber flap on the front of the vacuum that, when pushed forward, allows bigger bits of dust and dirt to enter. When pulled back, it seals up to give strong suction to pick up the most ingrained debris.
A number of customers praised its weight: “It’s brilliant…so lightweight, manoeuvrable, easy to store, easy to clean, and quiet. I can just pick it up and take it upstairs.”
Like all Gtech vacuum cleaners, the AirRAM MK2 is cordless and its 22V Lithium-ion battery can run for up to 40 minutes with each four-hour charge. One more point customers loved is that although it’s bagless it doesn’t have a visible reservoir as all the dirt is compressed into small bales inside a removable 0.8 litre bin located in the base of the vacuum (just above the brush bar).
The brand states the container can easily be lifted out and emptied using its sliding ejector arm. A third person wrote: “It’s so easy to empty without even touching the dust straight into bin. Honestly my favourite purchase ever!”
The Gtech AirRAM MK2 currently has a rating of 4.6 stars out of five, which is based on almost 13,000 reviews. And while 78% of them are five stars, some people commented they had issues because it was impossible to know when the vacuum’s waste container needed to be emptied.
One user wrote: “It has no light to alert you that the collector is full and, despite the fact that there is a transparent cover, this becomes obscured after a very short while and you simply can’t see into it. It does, however, succeed in making the AirRam Mk2 always look dirty, however clean it actually is.”
They added: “Dust balls, hair, and fibres start to creep out from the collector to the side of the roller, and from there back onto the carpets and/or into the air.”
