Give your old broken phone to Samsung and get the Galaxy S24 for a hard to believe price

If you have your eye on a new Android smartphone then you can’t go wrong with the Samsung Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, or S24 Ultra. Samsung’s three latest and greatest phones all pack in top level cameras, bright screens, sleek designs, and powerful performance in three different sizes at three different prices – but thanks to an eye-catching deal, Samsung itself is knocking £150 off the phones’ RRPs, plus hundreds of pounds more if you trade in an old phone in any condition.

This hard-to-believe deal means right now you can trade in a genuinely broken smartphone and buy the regular Galaxy S24 for just £549, a saving of £250 on the phone’s £799 RRP. That’s because Samsung currently has a sale on offering £150 off, and then you can save a further £100 by sending in a smartphone in any condition, even if it has a smashed screen or is completely broken.

You should act quickly though as this huge saving is only on offer until 28 May 2024.

All you need to do is enter the old phone’s IMEI number while you’re adding the S24 you want to your basket on Samsung’s website. You can find the number by entering *#06# into the phone’s keypad dialler. If the phone is totally broken, you can usually find the IMEI on the phone’s original box.

Even better, if you have a working phone and want to trade it in, Samsung is offering up to an additional £360 off if you trade in a working phone. If you combine the two savings, you could pick up an S24 for just £289 – by a country mile the cheapest we’ve seen this £799 phone offered for.

Express.co.uk thinks highly of the S24 series, awarding the S24 and S24 Plus 4.5 stars in our review, while the S24 Ultra picked up a rare five-star award. Deputy technology editor Henry Burrell said, “The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the best phones you can buy, a do-it-all Android device with a lofty price tag to match” – thankfully you can now drag that price tag down somewhat with this deal.

Given the phones that offer the highest discount are phones such as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and iPhone 14 Pro, you might not want to part with these still-excellent devices just to get an S24 on the cheap. But the option is there if this does apply to you.

The savings also apply to the £999 RRP S24 Plus, while you can also save an immediate £150 on the S24 Ultra to get it for £1,099, or trade in and save even more – including an extra £100 off for a phone in any condition.
