Girl, 16, killed in horror Maidstone crash pictured as mum shares gut-wrenching tribute


A heartbroken mum has paid tribute to her teenage daughter who died in a crash on Saturday.

Alisha Marie Ponter, 16, died when the car she was travelling in crashed and overturned. The white Toyota Hilux crashed in Maidstone, Kent.

A 15-year-old boy was also injured in the crash and rushed to hospital.

Another boy, 17, was taken to hospital with minor injuries and was later arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Alisha Marie’s mum, Cody Marie, wrote a heart-breaking tribute on Facebook, saying: “Please all share. My princess now the most beautifuliest angel in the sky.”

She added: “Oh Alisha my heart’s hurting. I’m praying I wake up and it’s the biggest dream ever but sadly no, I’ll never see your beautiful face again after we’ve laid u to rest.”

She also added in another post: “Oh baby girl, what we would give to hold u one last time. Time is so precious as proven u was taken from us far to early u had your whole life ahead of u.

“F**k princess it hurts we don’t know what to do such a short time on earth but u impacted so many!!!! My body’s numb and my hearts’ broken love u forever baby girl xxxxxxxxxxx. 24/02/2024 the day our hearts were broken and my precious girl was taken.”

Alisha Marie’s dad Luke Ponter told The Sun: “She is just so young. She is so loved and so missed.”

Another relative Aaron also took to the social media page to pay is own tribute. He wrote: “My beautiful girl, Aaron will love u forever shine bright till we meet again.”

Alisha’s aunt Kellie Ponter has also paid tribute, saying on Facebook: “My beautiful niece grew her wings last night.”

Kent Police have appealed for witnesses or for anyone with dashcam footage from the time of the smash. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
