Gino D’Acampo made headlines this week after being accused of “dozens” of allegations of misconduct spanning over more than a decade.

The TV presenter’s behaviour was described as “unacceptable” and “distressing” by those making accusations, an ITV News investigation has claimed.

The Italy-born star, 48, has “firmly denied” the allegations in a statement to the broadcaster, saying they were “simply not in my nature” and describing them as “deeply upsetting”.

D’Acampo, renowned for his appearances on shows such as This Morning, Gino’s Italian Escape and Gordon, Gino and Fred’s Road Trip, is a household name.

The Italian celebrity chef resides with his wife Jessica and their three children in a seven-bedroom townhouse in Hertfordshire.

His Georgian home, located in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire, is reportedly valued at a staggering £1.25million.

The living room boasts a large fireplace, mint green walls, Victorian-style furniture, a chandelier, and an antique painting perched above the fireplace.

Naturally, given his profession, the property also features a spacious kitchen equipped with a grand marble island.

Hoddesdon is a historic market town nestled in the expansive Hertfordshire countryside near the Essex border. It’s conveniently situated between Hatfield and Harlow, offering easy access to Hertford and several of the county’s picturesque rivers.

As a popular commuter town, Hoddesdon benefits from Broxbourne Station and Rye House Station, both providing regular services to London.

Its proximity to the A10 ensures easy travel to and from the town, with nearby locations such as Harlow, Hertford, Ware and Cheshunt all within easy reach.

Hoddesdon, a town that’s just a 35-minute commute from London’s Liverpool Street station, offers its residents an easy journey to work.

The town boasts a variety of shopping facilities, including grocery stores, boutique independents, and a plethora of cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

Hoddesdon is rapidly expanding, providing its inhabitants with a pleasant lifestyle and a strong sense of community, all within a comfortable distance from the UK’s capital.

The town exudes a relaxed atmosphere and is home to a wealth of well-preserved buildings, earning the centre of Hoddesdon the status of a designated conservation area.

Many of the town’s standout structures are clustered around the historic Clock Tower, erected in 1835 on the site of the 14th-century Chapel of St. Katherine.

The Clock Tower houses a bell gifted to the Chapel in 1510.

From this central point, the main shopping area unfolds, where you’ll discover charming pubs and inns like The White Swan.

Situated on the main street, this Grade II Tudor-style timber-frame building is adorned with vibrant, flower-filled hanging baskets.

Despite restoration, it retains much of its original character.

Another local gem is the Rye House pub, nestled in a picturesque riverside setting with a garden that extends to boat moorings.

Despite renovations, the establishment, dating back to 1443, has retained its old-world charm and timeless ambience.

To the town’s east lies the expansive Lee Valley Park, a favourite spot for walking, boating, water sports, and cycling.

Nearby, the Paradise Wildlife Park offers a delightful experience for children, housing animals in environments closely resembling their natural habitats.

The park is tucked away in a serene bend of the River Lee, enveloped by the scenic landscapes of Hertfordshire and Essex.

The entrance to Lee Valley Park also serves as the gateway to Rye House, an intriguing 15th-century building accompanied by an adjacent RSPB Nature Reserve.

Hoddesdon has seen a surge in new housing developments recently, offering a range of incentives to attract newcomers and assist existing residents in climbing the property ladder.

The local property market boasts a diverse mix, from purpose-built housing estates to stunning listed properties.

Property prices in Hoddesdon align with the average across Hertfordshire, standing significantly higher than other similarly populated areas in England.

Rightmove reports that the overall average house price in Hoddesdon over the past year was £423,236.

The majority of property sales in Hoddesdon during this period were terraced properties, selling for an average price of £414,318.

Semi-detached properties sold for an average of £506,482, with flats fetching £231,500.

Overall, the historical sold prices in Hoddesdon over the last year were 2% down on the previous year and similar to the 2022 peak of £422,663.
