John Harbaugh’s Giants staff is taking shape.
Big Blue is expected to promote assistant quarterbacks coach Chad Hall to wide receivers coach, CBS Sports reported Saturday morning.
The 39-year-old Hall, who was a wideout in the NFL from 2010-14, has been an assistant in the NFL since 2017, joining the Giants’ staff last season after stints with the Bills and Jaguars.
As Harbaugh gets his coaching group together, one big question remains: Who will be the next offensive coordinator?
All signs pointed to former Ravens OC Todd Monken, who was viewed as the favorite to land the job after working with Harbaugh the last three seasons.
However, a wrench was thrown into those plans when Monken took the head coaching job with the Browns earlier this week, leaving the Giants still searching for someone to coach the offense.
The Giants are expected to interview Chargers quarterbacks coach Shane Day — who has worked under Jim Harbaugh for the last two seasons — on Saturday, according to The Schultz Report.
Former Giants quarterbacks Davis Webb and Alex Tanney are under consideration for the job and are set to get interviews. Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter is also in the mix.
Whomever Harbaugh chooses, the Giants should be in good hands on the offensive side of the ball.
David Syvertsen, chief evaluator for Ourlads Scouting Services, told The Post’s Paul Schwartz this week that he has plenty of faith in Harbaugh’s process.
“He’s had a lot of success with different coordinators, it’s not like his coordinators leave and the team falls apart or that side of the ball falls apart,’’ Syvertsen said.
“That’s why I’m big on you should trust what he’s gonna decide on. Everybody got upset about Todd Monken. He’ll find his guy and he will find a way to have success.’’
