Get Sky channels and Netflix for free by moving to a newer way of watching TV

There’s a very easy way to get Sky TV and Netflix for free thanks to an update to the best Sky deals. The telly firm has just announced the launch of a new deal that’s giving away premium channels and access to the Netflix streaming service without you paying anything for the privilege. The only thing you’ll need to do is forget about using your satellite dish or an old-school aerial.

That’s because the free offer is for those happy to make the switch over to Sky’s latest Stream box. For those not aware, this diddy device beams live and on-demand content to screens via the web rather than using a standard over-the-air signal.

It basically means you only need an internet connection to view all of Sky’s popular channels such as Sky Atlantic, Sky Documentaries, Sky Nature, Comedy Central and National Geographic.

This device also features access to all the most popular streaming apps such as Apple TV+, Paramount+ and Disney+. Watching those platforms will cost you extra but Netflix is included in the deal which means that popular service is also free as well.

Now, you might be thinking that all sounds too good to be true.

Of course, like all good things in life, there is a catch as this blockbuster offer only lasts for the first month.

It’s basically a way of Sky giving you a trial before signing on the dotted line. Once the 30 days are over, you’ll then need to pay with Sky Stream costing £31 if you don’t want to sign up for a long-term contract and £26 if you’re happy to join for 18 months.

Other bonuses of Sky Stream include simple DIY set-up along with a refreshed remote that gets backlit keys. There’s also the option to store shows to watch at a later date via Sky’s Playlists option. This uses cloud services rather than an internal hard drive to keep things ready to watch when you have time.
