Authorities are warning residents and guests in the Lake Tahoe area to secure their exterior doors as a foot fondling intruder has been targeting the area.
Women staying at a resort in Stateline, Nevada woke up to an intruder in their room fondling their feet, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
In the incidents, which occured on July 2 and July 3, the women were staying on rooms on the ground floor. Police believe the suspect entered the rooms via the unsecured exterior screen door.
A description of the suspect was not released, but police say they are actively investing the incidents and asked members of the public to submit tips if they have any leads.
“In the meantime, residents and guests staying in the Lake Tahoe area are reminded to secure all exterior doors to their homes/rented rooms,” the office said.
