Firefighters have rushed to the scene of a fire at a Tory MP’s office this evening.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Christmas Eve after reports of a blaze at Mike Freer’s constituency office in London. Police officers and firefighters were spotted at the HQ of the MP for Finchley and Golder’s Green in the north of the city.
One local resident told Express.co.uk that they were made aware of the fire at around 7pm, while pictures posted to social media showed fire crews and Met Police cars at the scene three hours later.
Praising local firefighters, another eyewitness said: “It’s Christmas Eve but that doesnt stop @LondonFire from efficiently dealing with a fire at 212 Ballards Lane, the offices of Finchley Conservatives and Mike Freer MP. Nobody hurt, some damage.”
Express.co.uk has contacted the London Fire Brigade for comment.
