A source close to Sarah Ferguson has hit back at the latest claims regarding her and Prince Andrew’s possible future living situation. Various reports recently suggested that the former couple have “demanded” that they move into different homes if they leave Royal Lodge in Windsor, with Andrew preferring Frogmore Cottage and Fergie eyeing up Adelaide Cottage.

But a source close to the couple has lashed out at the latest reports that the couple, who recently gave up their royal titles, have demanded separate homes and said the option was on the table for months. Andrew and Fergie have been living at Royal Lodge in Windsor since the early 2000s, but the latest bombshells regarding their links to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein have mounted pressure on them to leave.

The source told the Daily Mail in a five-word rebuke: “No demands have been made.”

They explained: “It was an option put forward by the ‘other side’ and at an early stage [in negotiations],” they claimed.

“Whether it is still on the table, I don’t know. But the suggestion that they have been demanding a new home each is misrepresentative of the truth.

“No demands have been made. People have been trying to come up with solutions.”

The controversy surrounding Prince Andrew has continued to grow as the King was heckled during an engagement in the Midlands this week.

The King was a few metres away from a man in the crowd who asked a string of questions including “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?” during the visit to Lichfield Cathedral on Monday.

The monarchy is coming under increasing pressure to resolve the issue of Andrew, with some MPs eager to debate the topic.

It came as the BBC reported that Andrew hosted Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell and Harvey Weinstein at Royal Lodge, the private home where he lives rent free, ahead of his daughter Princess Beatrice’s masked ball 18th birthday celebrations at Windsor Castle in 2006.
