Fans send Princess Kate get well video messages and compliment her editing skills

Princess Kate tried her hand at Photoshop, making some edits to a Mother’s Day photo, leaving some fans unhappy and confused, but there are others, who are not bothered, and recorded video messages cheering on the Princess of Wales.

GB News anchor Bev Turner addressed the recent turn of the events, saying, “It’s been a tough week for the Princess of Wales, as we know, she was forced to apologise after editing that Mother’s Day photo.”

“But, we still love you, Kate, and here are some messages from our viewers.”

The GB News viewers filmed themselves speaking to Princess Kate, sent the videos into the studio, which were shared during the broadcast.

In the video messages, the viewers wish her well and even say they like her photography.

The GB News segment aired five video clips, sent in by both men and women, all very encouraging.

Davy Rees, who lives in Wirral, recorded a video, saying: “Hello, Catherine, Your Highness, I hope you get well. And keep up the good work with the photography.”

Miranda Richardson also recorded a message, saying, “I’m sending you my best wishes, and hopefully, you will make a speedy recovery, and will be able to get on with enjoying time with your family.”

Alan McNiely gets straight to the point in his message: “Ignore all this nonsense about the editing the photograph, where everyone seems to have lost their marbles over, get well soon, and we hope to see you back where you belong, when you’re able.”

Allan Hatton, based in Nuneaton, shares his thoughts: “Picking holes in this photo that the Princess of Wales has taken, is from years beyond a joke. I think she has done a fantastic job, her and William.”

Sally Baums says it how it is: “Take the nonsense — you are a fabulous woman, with a fabulous family and children — put it all behind you, practice your editing, and just go out there, get better, because… we miss you!!”

Princess Kate and Prince William shared the photo to their Instagram account, which received over two million likes.

Paige Smithson wrote a comment, saying, “I don’t know why people care so much that this particular photo was photoshopped. Are they forgetting their Christmas photo?” which received 1,000 likes and 100 responses with a lot of people agreeing that they make changes to their photos, too, and don’t see this as a big deal.

There were others who wrote, “Because some people enjoy when others fail,” suggesting Princess Kate is being subjected to online bullying.

Some wrote sommens, saying they thought of it as “false news” with others refuting that claim, because they don’t consider it news, they consider it a family portrait.

Others, in the comment section, felt like Kate may have been pressured into sharing a photo, to cut down on chatter about where she’s been, which is home in recovery, and she rushed to get the photo up and out into the world.

GB News shared the video of well-wishes, and also included commentary from a royal source, who said: “Everyone, including the princess, is a bit shellshocked by what has happened.”

“A mistake was made but she has put her hand up and apologised. It’s been very upsetting all around.”

“But a lot of people feel it is time to acknowledge the error was made in good faith, as was her apology and move on.”
