F1 LIVE: Norris parties with Verstappen as Mercedes line-up rogue Hamilton replacement


Lando Norris is still dominating the F1 headlines after his breakthrough win in Miami on Sunday. In the 110th Grand Prix of his career, the British driver took the chequered flag ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.

The McLaren star didn’t hide his delight afterwards, with his win proving popular with fans and rival drivers. Lewis Hamilton managed to battle his way to sixth, having publicly admitted he held no hope of a race win after struggling in the Saturday Sprint Race.

Meanwhile, speculation ramps up over who Toto Wolff will bring in to replace the icon. Mercedes have some time to focus on their pursuit, with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix weekend next up from May 17-19.

Fernando Alonso is again dealing with a fall-out, having been furious with the FIA after being sanctioned for an incident in the Sprint Race in America. He reacted by accusing officials of showing bias when awarding penalties.
