Princess Kate has wowed royal fans this morning after stepping out in an all-pink ensemble for the first day of the French state visit. The Princess of Wales, 43, accompanied Prince William, 43, today to greet the French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, to the UK.

The royal couple greeted them at RAF Northolt, where they will then travel with them to Windsor. In Windsor, the King and Queen will formally welcome their French guests on a Royal Dais constructed in Windsor town centre, not far from Windsor Castle, where the couple will be staying for the duration of the three-day visit.

Within minutes of stepping out in front of the cameras this morning, Kate received an influx of praise from fans online, with many complimenting her “diplomatic” look, which included a French fashion house Christian Dior outfit.

The princess also wore a hat by Jess Collett, earrings which belonged to the late Princess Diana, and a pearl necklace that was once owned by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

One fan wrote on X: “The master of dress diplomacy!”

Another said: “The Princess looks gorgeous in a Christian Dior ensemble.”

Someone else commented: “Absolutely flawless! Stunning outfit.”

A fourth fan wrote: “The Princess of Wales and the Art of diplomatic dressing. In Christian Dior for the French state visit, Catherine is, from head to toe, an absolute work of art.”

The state visit will take place over the next three days, with the French president and his wife carrying out a number of engagements and visits.

This will include a meeting between the president and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, along with a UK-France Summit.

A state banquet is also set to be held tonight, with The King and French president both expected to deliver speeches. It has not been confirmed whether Princess Kate will attend.
