Everyone is saying the same thing as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launch new website

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched their brand-new website, Sussex.com, on the evening of February 12.

The website will be the first stop for new updates on the couple’s work and any forthcoming projects.

The new launch comes less than a week after Harry flew to the UK to see King Charles after his shock cancer diagnosis.

Although some have welcomed the couple’s new launch, many have spotted the same thing – pointing out that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are still continuing to use their royal link.

The couple were bestowed their Sussex titles by the late Queen in 2018 and have continued to use them following their royal exit in 2020.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, many people are claiming that the couple are still clinging to the Sussex brand.

One person wrote: “Harry and Meghan are still branding themselves as ‘the Sussexes’. They abandoned their duty to this country, insulted our people and history, mocked out traditions and undermined our monarchy. The brass to keep parasitising off this title!”

A second wrote: “Harry and Meghan say they want to leave the Royal Family. Yet everyday she declares herself The Duchess of Sussex. She’ll say that she’ll never return to the UK but she loves using her title. With all the horrible things they have done they should be stripped of their titles…”

A third commented on X: “Shows how desperate they need those titles.”

The new launch has also been dubbed a “new low” for the couple.

One fan wrote: “The registration of Sussex.com is a new low for even out world-class grifters. When all else fails, let’s just go back to merching our royal links…”

Speaking of Meghan, another wrote: “I doubt Meghan could find Sussex on the map, the same could be said for many of her supporters.”

After stepping down from royal duty, the couple were stripped of their HRH title – but were still able to refer to themselves as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Soon after stepping down – and completing their final engagement in March 2020 – Meghan and Harry moved to start a new life in the US with their son, Archie. The couple then welcomed their second child, Lilibet, in June 2021.

Upon making their surprise announcement in 2020, the couple released a statement to confirm that they were to step down as working royals.

The statement read: “We intend to step back as ‘senior’ members of the Royal Family and work to become financially independent, while continuing to fully support Her Majesty The Queen.”
