The wife of disgraced congresssman Eric Swalwell was spotted without her wedding ring near the couple’s $1.2 million Washington, D.C. home — as her husband’s whereabouts still remain publicly unknown.
Brittany Swalwell was seen solo and hardware-free as her husband faces accusations of sexual assault and harassment that abruptly ended his political career last month.
Swalwell’s last public comments about the scandal came on April 10, when he posted a social media video addressing the sexual misconduct claims.
He called allegations of sexual assault “absolutely false,” but offered a vague apology to his wife of nine years, alluding to “mistakes in judgment in my past.”
“But those mistakes are between me and my wife, and to her I apologize deeply for putting her in this position,” Swalwell said in the video.
The alleged pervert filmed the video at the Beverly Hills mansion of billionaire Steve Cloobeck, who booted Swalwell from his home later that weekend, saying he “busted the trust.”
“I support women’s rights,” Cloobeck, former CEO of Diamond Resorts International, said at the time.
Cloobeck was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge of attempting to prevent or dissuade a victim or witness from testifying.
Subsequent public statements have come through his attorneys, including powerhouse lawyer Sara Azari he’s paid using campaign funds to fight the claims.
Azari reported sicc’ed private investigators on Swalwell accusers and has claimed on TV that “regret is not rape.”
Brittany, who shares three children with Eric, was seen late last month at Mexico Los Cabos International Airport after enjoying a week-long luxury escape at a resort dubbed “a billionaire’s playground.”
Swalwell is facing criminal probes in Los Angeles and Manhattan for alleged sexual assaults of women.
He reportedly continued messaging former staffers on Snapchat despite the political fallout.
Swalwell “communicated directly with a former intern on the app and asked her why she had taken a screenshot of their chat history,” the New York Times reported.
